Much of Minnesota’s population (over half of it) is located in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. As a truck driver in Minnesota, you will more than likely make deliveries to Minneapolis-St. Paul, or at least pass through it on I-35 or I-94.
Minneapolis
Minnesota’s largest city, Minneapolis, is home to almost 400,000 people. The city is full of lake - hundreds are located right in the Minneapolis area. The Mississippi River runs through the northeast corner of the city.
St. Paul
Minneapolis and Saint Paul are known as the Twin Cities. Saint Paul is just east of Minneapolis and is Saint Paul is the capitol of Minnesota.
Rochester
The city of Rochester is located in southeast Minnesota. Silver Lake is in the center of the city. The Zumbro River weaves its way through the city. The city is well-known for the Mayo Clinic, a world-renowned medical and research facility, which serves parts of Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. US 63, which begins in Louisiana, travels north and south through the center of the city, and continues northward to Wisconsin. IBM is one of the city’s major employers.
Duluth
Duluth sits upon the western shore of Lake Superior. I-35 makes its way through town and I-535 crosses St. Louis Bay in Duluth, and heads into Wisconsin. While tractor trailers play an important role in delivering and carrying products and supplies to and from the city, Duluth also has a port; ships traveling from the Atlantic Ocean can make their way to the port in Duluth through the Great Lakes. Duluth is located in St. Louis County.
Bloomington
The city of Bloomington is part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul region. Bloomington is home to The Mall of America, the largest indoor mall in the United States.
